This page provides links to publicly accessible resources. In some cases, the other networks provide benefits that GPA members can access only if they become members of those other networks. In some cases those benefits are briefly listed and further information can be obtained directly from the networks concerned or their websites.
Asia Pacific Privacy Authorities (APPA) Forum
The APPA website resource page contains useful standards on case note citation, case note dissemination and community attitude surveys. It also provides a secondment framework that provides advice on how to set up a successful staff secondment between privacy authorities.
Association francophone des autorites de protection des donnes personnelles (AFAPDP)
The AFAPDP website is an excellent source of French language resources and news on personal data protection.
Central and Eastern Europe Data Protection Authorities (CEEC)
The CEEC website provides summaries of, and links to, the laws of data protection laws of Central and Eastern European countries. The website also provides a function to contact CEEC member authorities simultaneously.
Consultative Committee of the Convention for the Protection of Individuals with regard to Automatic Processing of Personal Data (T-PD)
The Council of Europe website contains useful documentation not only on the T-PD but also on its many specialised recommendations on data protection topics and on initiatives such as the Council’s data protection day.
Global Privacy Enforcement Network (GPEN)
GPA member authorities need to become a GPEN participant to access the network’s many benefits. Application for membership can be submitted through the GPEN website. Most GPEN benefits are provided online through a password protected website including a discussion forum, mass contact facility, news feeds, document repository, consolidated enforcement contact list and an opportunities board. In addition, participants can opt into access to a secure alert system.
Ibero-American Network of Data Protection (RIPD)
The RIPD website is an excellent source of Spanish language resources and news on personal data protection.
International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP)
Amongst the publicly accessible benefits available through the IAPP website are daily newsletters and periodic podcasts. A range of other benefits are available to authorities and staff who take up membership.
International Working Group on Data Protection in Telecommunications (IWGDPT) (also known as the Berlin Group)
The IWGDPT has published a wide range of useful working papers and common positions on its website.
London Action Plan (LAP)
The LAP website resource page contains a series of best practice and trends reports.
World Legal Information Institute (WorldLII)
The WorldLII website contains the International Privacy Law Library which is the world’s largest freely available online searchable database of privacy cases in one place.
