The Global Privacy Assembly is an entity in its own right representing the collective accredited members. Public authorities that meet the criteria set out in the Assembly’s rules and procedures can apply to be members. There are more than 130 data protection and privacy authorities accredited to the Assembly with more joining each year. Those bodies and agencies not meeting the criteria for membership are welcome to participate to the Assembly’s proceedings as Observers.
